The going rate for daycare in Houston these days?
Roughly $1200 a month--with another $70 or so tacked on for a "diaper charge".

Well, another thing a mother-in-law failed to tell you.....I also did this, but Social Security was not taken out for the kazillion dollars I saved your Father-n-law.
I did however have outstanding, wonderful children who chose outstanding and wonderful spouses. Probably not because of me being home with them...but I will take a little credit.
