Although initially ambivalent about the news of our impending arrival, Molly Cat (and the other cats too) have decided that the baby (and, more specifically, all of the fluffy paraphernalia that accompanied her home) are a-ok.

Busy day

Anna Claire and I made the trek to Edna so that she could meet more family members, including Nolan, her second cousin. As you'll see from the following posts, a grand time was had by all.

This is what our Saturday nights, at approximately 9:25pm look like these days. Kevin, Anna Claire and Molly Cat all crashed for the night. I wouldn't trade nights like this for anything.

Fashion Frustration

Why is it that in the 6 or so months that I was wearing and buying maternity clothes, the fashion industry decided to change their sizing structure so that now, I suddenly only fit into clothing that's approximately 4 sizes bigger than my old, pre-pregnancy size? I'm also upset that this new sizing structure effected my old clothes that were hanging, innocently in my closet during my pregnancy. Did some Fashionista Secret Agent sneak into my closet and alter my old clothes to conform to the new sizing? How did I miss all of this? Grrr....

Getting us through these first months...

Our two best friends in the world are getting married this Summer (not to each other, although they're both marrying great people, both of whom have met us and still feel brave enough to marry into our "family"). One friend is getting married in Costa Rica in May. This is where the wedding is and where we're staying: Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort

Then, three weeks later, our other good friend is getting married near Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We're staying at the Royal Hideaway where that wedding is taking place.

Both of these resorts are truly decadent. At the Tabacon, there are hot springs and a volcano right outside of our room! At the Royal Hideaway, in addition to the beautiful Caribbean ocean water, each room is assigned a Cabana Boy who caters to our every whim. We are so excited about both of these trips! Even though it will be hard to leave Anna Claire behind, it will be so very much-needed. Both Costa Rica and Mexico boast some really exciting activities, but the activity that we're most looking forward to is the ever-exciting and adventuresome sleeping through the night, uninterrupted!
